Ladyurd is a modest sized forest comprising 288 hectares (ha) of mainly upland conifer plantation, originally planted between the late 1950s and late 1970s. It is located 12 km north west of Peebles along the A72 and 2 km to the south of the small village of Blyth Bridge.

Forestry and Land Scotland have recently completed the revision of the ten year Land Management Plan (LMP) for Ladyurd Forest. This outlines the long term vision of the forest, as well as the plan's main objectives. These focus on sustainable timber production, riparian enhancement and increasing forest resilience and adaptability to future climate change and tree health threats.

The plan was approved by Scottish Forestry on 1st April 2021, and the final documents can be viewed below.
