Rowardennan, which nestles at the foot of Ben Lomond, is literally the end of the road! It’s the perfect place to sit awhile by the bonny banks of Loch Lomond, enjoy an easy trail through the woods or take on the challenge of climbing to the summit of this iconic peak.
A gentle stroll to the shore of Loch Lomond, where there is a memorial sculpture to commemorate the Scots who gave their lives in the two World Wars.

The granite feature was created for the Memorial Park by Angus sculptor Doug Cocker, in recognition of those who gave their lives in the service of their country. It stands at a stunning viewpoint over Loch Lomond and is the perfect place to remember and celebrate Scotland’s people, rich history and unique landscape.

Don't be fooled by the well-worn path leading up this mountain – this is a rough and strenuous route and suitable for fit and experienced walkers. Remember that even in summer the weather can change very quickly here, so be prepared.
The public toilets at Rowardennan are open from Easter to October. The local hotel and hostel offer accommodation, food and drink.

Please park with care and consideration. In particular please park in designated parking areas only and do not block entrances or gates. Nearby car parks with free parking can be found in our local forest list without the £ symbol.

The road to Rowardennan is well signposted from Drymen. The car park marks the end of the road, 12 miles from Drymen.
G63 0AR is the nearest postcode.
There are no buses to Rowardennan. In the summer months, a ferry service runs from Tarbet and Luss on the opposite bank of Loch Lomond. Plan your journey at Cruise Loch Lomond.
