Ardross land management plan
Ardross land management plan
The Ardross Land Management Plan (LMP) area is situated west of the B9176 and to the North and West of the village of Ardross. Included in the plan are the forest blocks Dam Wood, Dublin, Garbhan Rock, Glaick, Stittenham and Strathrusdale – an area of 2133ha. Ardross LMP was approved by Scottish Forestry on the 20th of July 2022 meaning the current plan will be active until the 19th of July 2032. The new plan has proposed radical change to the land use of the very poor and very wet soils in the block. Furthermore the changes of the current plan should lead to a more resilient and biodiverse forest whilst retaining a productive character. Over the course of the plan FLS will be implementing these changes. In 2027 a mid-term review will be conducted to assess progress of the plan.
