Roseisle land management plan
Roseisle land management plan
Roseisle land management plan was approved on 22nd March 2016 and runs until 22nd March 2026.
Roseisle Forest is located on the coast roughly midway between the towns of Elgin and Forres. The forest area is immediately adjacent to the communities of Burghead and Kinloss, close to the A96. The forest is a highly valued recreational asset both locally and regionally.
The site is dominated by conifers with Scots pine and Corsican pine are the primary species. Lodgepole pine stands within the forest are infected with Dothistroma needle blight and will be systematically removed.
The site is a true multi-purpose forest, delivering access and health, timber, biodiversity and environmental improvement via erosion protection.
