Following extensive analysis, consultation and development work, the land management plan for Westfield was formally approved in August 2014 and is scheduled for renewal by 2024.

• 2013 – Site survey, site analysis.
• 2013 – Initial design concept for the woodland including tree species choice and shapes.
• Early 2014 - The initial design concept proposal and public consultation.
• Mid 2014 – Application submitted for formal approval.
• August 2014 - Plan formally approved.
