Entries are open for our new photography competition to celebrate the advent of autumn colours.

Everyone is welcome to enter for a chance to win a scrumptious Galloway Lodge hamper, and the winning photo will feature on our autumn webpage in 2017.

How to enter

Share photos using #youknowitsautumn on Twitter or by posting directly on to Forestry Commission Scotland’s Facebook page until midday Thursday 27 October 2016.

We want photos that tell a story about what you love most about the outdoors during autumn, or favourite autumn experiences or memories. So as part of your submission, we would like a brief description about where the photo was taken and why you took this picture. Your short description will enrich your photo submission and weave a beautiful autumn story.

Photos don’t have to be taken at our parks or sites, but it would be great if they could be.

How the winner is chosen

We (Forestry Commission Scotland) will shortlist the top ten images from all entries provided, and the final winner will be decided by you, the public, through Facebook.

We will share a Facebook photo album on our Facebook page of the shortlisted entries by 5pm Friday 28 October 2016, and the photo with the most ‘likes’ by midday 4 November will be the overall winner. See the terms and conditions (PDF 68KB) for more information.

Have fun out and about on your autumn photography adventures!
