Say hello to our new visitor centres
We’ve treated our visitor centres to a spot of TLC. Throughout 2014 we’ll be making even more improvements, so watch this space. In the meantime, make sure you pay a visit to one of our visitor centres near you.
A warm welcome awaits at our visitor centres…
Glenmore opens its doors
We’ve refitted the visitor centre at Glenmore, and now it's one of the finest places to take in the mountains that wrap themselves around glittering Loch Morlich. Take a walk to the breathtaking green lochan, then explore the towering pinewoods, and afterwards treat yourself to a delicious cake and freshly made coffee at the visitor centre.
The Galloway three
Kirroughtree is a brand new visitor centre, opened late 2013, it boasts state of the art technology, so you can learn while you play. There's a great café, fabulous bike and outdoor shop and all the information you'll need to make the most of your visit to Galloway Forest Park.
At Clatteringshaws you're guaranteed one of the finest waterside café locations in Scotland, thanks to the incredible view. From stunning wildlife to the darkest of skies, here you're at the heart of the Galloway Forest Park.
Good things come in small packages, and Glentrool Visitor Centre is no exception. Here you'll find a tranquil spot by the water, and a stunning glen that's steeped in Scotland's history.
If you're passing through Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, make sure you pop into The Lodge - our newly transformed and completely refitted visitor centre, where you'll never be short of something to do. Glentress Peel may not be brand new (opened in 2011) but it's a must-visit for mountain biking enthusiasts or those just wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh for a day.
There's more to come...
Work is well underway at Queen's View Visitor Centre, just outside Pitlochry, and we'll be opening our doors this May. Expect some big changes - a welcoming new cafe, inspirational shop and useful information area - all fit for a queen.
