A very short but fairly strenuous 'there-and-back' trail to reach an ancient burial cairn hidden amongst the trees.
The nearest public toilets (including accessible facilities), a cosy café and a small selection of gifts and souvenirs can be found at nearby Glentrool Visitor Centre.

The trail at Whitecairn begins in Glentrool Village. Head up the road that skirts the east side of the Community Centre and playing fields. As the road begins to bend left, keep an eye out for a path between the houses marked by a green post with a white band.
