Delivering forests and land that Scotland can be proud of – Views wanted on Forestry and Land Scotland’s first Corporate Plan
Forestry and Land Scotland is seeking views on our draft Corporate Plan. The plan will set out our proposed direction of travel and priorities for the next three years. It will also describe how FLS as an executive agency of the Scottish Government will manage the national forests and land in a way that helps support the delivery of the national outcomes set out in the National Performance Framework.
We are keen to hear the views of anyone with an interest in the national forests and land.
The consultation closes on Friday 5th July 2019.
The information we receive will help test the draft plan and will also help us to further refine the document. At the end of the consultation period the plan will be concluded, reformatted with graphics and case studies and then submitted to the Cabinet Secretary for the Rural Economy for approval. We aim to publish the approved Corporate Plan on 1st October 2019.
The Corporate Plan for our predecessor organisation, Forest Enterprise Scotland (FES) sets out how FLS delivered public benefits from the National Forest Estate (now known as the national forests and land). It also explains how they contributed to the Scottish Government’s aim of "creating a more successful country, with opportunities for all of Scotland to flourish, through increasing sustainable economic growth". This document details the FES priorities for the period 2017 - 2019.
