Head for this quiet area of forest near Newton Stewart for great views. Unmarked forest trails link up to the white Larg Hill Trail, allowing for a welcome diversion for coffee and cake at Kirroughtree Forest Café.
The wide forest roads here make this an ideal place for horse-riding. There's room in the car park for a couple of horse boxes.
The nearest public toilets by car are in Newton Stewart. You’ll also find toilets (including accessible facilities) at the Kirroughtree Forest Café.
There is no charge to park in this car park. Please park with care and consideration. In particular please park in designated parking areas only and do not block entrances or gates.
