Glasgow may be the most densely populated city in Scotland but there are plenty of places to explore…
Local people have designed the paths here, and planted over 100,000 young trees to extend the forest! It’s a great place for a breath of fresh air and wide views across the countryside and the sea: come and while away an hour or so watching the ferries steaming in and out of Cairnryan. At Easter there’s a grand Easter egg hunt.
There are no waymarked trails, but there’s a good network of paths to explore this growing, changing woodland.
You’ll find public toilets, and plenty of places to eat, in Stranraer.
There is no charge to park in this car park. Please park with care and consideration. In particular please park in designated parking areas only and do not block entrances or gates.
