Forests all across Scotland have been seriously affected by recent storms. We are doing everything we can to make our forests safe for visitors, communities, forest businesses and our staff. However, many of our forests remain closed while others have significant diversions and access restrictions for the foreseeable future. Please keep safe and follow all closure notices and safety signage.
A quiet woodland set in gently rolling countryside that offers good trails for walking, cycling and horse riding. Listen out for woodland birds, including bullfinches, willow warblers and woodpeckers.
There are shops, places to eat and public toilets in Airdrie or Falkirk.
There is no charge to park in this car park. Please park with care and consideration. In particular please park in designated parking areas only and do not block entrances or gates.
The entrance to the forest is directly opposite the playing field in Limerigg village, on the east side of Slamannan Road (B8022). There is space for a couple of cars to park at the entrance, but do please try to keep the gate clear.
FK1 3BW is the nearest postcode.
Buses pass through Limerigg and stop at the forest entrance. Plan your journey at Traveline Scotland.
