Upper Cree land management plan
The Upper Cree area lies approximately 20km north west of Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway.
Following analysis, consultation and development work, the land management plan for Upper Cree was formally approved on 3 November 2016 and is scheduled for renewal in 2026.

Summer 2015: Initial stakeholder consultation. Community consultation event held July 2015.
Autumn 2015: Ongoing consultation. Woodland design including coupe design, species choice and management proposals.
Winter 2015: Land management plan submission to Forestry Commission Scotland as part of approval process (final plan will be placed on the Forestry Commission public register for 28 days).
Autumn 2016: Land management plan with Forestry Commission Scotland awaiting approval.
November 2016: Plan formally approved.
