Foss and Lassintulloch Land Management Plan
The Foss and Lassintulloch Land Management Plan (LMP) covers eight individual forest blocks: Braes of Foss, Drumnakyle, Frenich, Kynachan, Aqueduct, Tombreck, Domnaheiche and Lassintulloch. In total, they cover an area of approximately 2648 hectares. The forests are located close to the villages of Tummel Bridge and Kinloch Rannoch in Highland Perthshire, stretching from the southern bank of Loch Tummel in the east to the lower flank of Schiehallion in the west.
Proposed timeline
- August 2024: the present plan expired
- Autumn 2024: initial scoping and consultation starts
- Summer/Autumn 2025: draft proposal for public consultation
- Winter 2025: preparation of final plan document for submission to Scottish Forestry
Scoping and consultation
We are currently carrying out the scoping for the new plan.
The initial scoping analyses the issues, constraints and opportunities to be considered for future management, and proposes objectives and priorities (short and long term) which will inform the preparation of the plans for the next 10 years.
