Gala Lane Land Management Plan
The Gala Lane block comprises of 3,673 hectares located to the south of Loch Doon in southern Scotland. It is part of the national forests and lands owned by Scottish Ministers on behalf of the people of Scotland and managed by Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS). FLS is revising the Gala Lane Land Management Plan (LMP) which will define management prescriptions within the block for the next ten years (2024-34). Draft versions of the land management plan will be published here.
Consultation with stakeholders (including the local community) is a requirement of the land management planning process. It is also a valuable opportunity for us to engage with the public, talk about our work, and discover what is important to you. The consultation process for the Gala Lane land management plan will start in the near future. We invite comments and feedback from the public on all of our proposals. In the interim, please look through the information below and send any queries to us using the contact details at the bottom of this page.
