Forestry and Land Scotland is the Scottish Government agency responsible for managing Scotland's national forests.

We work to ensure the land we manage is accessible – with well promoted local woodlands and national treasures, that are welcoming and open to all. We're committed to advancing equality of opportunity. We're working to eliminate unlawful discrimination and to foster good relations between different groups.

Our outcomes

In line with other Scottish public sector organisations we have produced our intended outcomes to meet the general equality duty under the Equality Act (2010) - to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations. It is important to have clear outcomes so we can evaluate the progress we are making.

  1. To reflect the diverse communities we serve by building a more diverse workforce
  2. Our people understand, support and are accountable for diversity and inclusion
  3. Forestry and Land Scotland is an inclusive organisation that values the contribution everyone can make

Equality Mainstreaming Report

We want to make sure anyone can work with us no matter their background. We also want everyone to feel welcome when visiting our forests or getting in contact with us. Our Equality Mainstreaming Reports look back on our recent work to make this happen. Each report also includes our most recent Equality Outcomes.
