Marketing & Sales Business Support Manager
Salary: £42,467 - £45,735 plus 28.97% pension contributions into defined benefits scheme

The Marketing and Sales BSM supports contract management, despatch, and invoicing for the Marketing & Sales team and timber customers. They produce reports and forecasts for senior managers and act as Principal Contract Owner for Long Term Timber Sale Contracts, including Small Roundwood and haulage. They manage Open Market tender processes across Scotland (43% of FLS annual sales) and lead projects, stakeholder engagement, and audit compliance.
Marketing and Sales, sits within the Land Management and Regions directorate, supports the Head of Marketing and operational teams in delivering the timber sales programme. The team manages timber despatch, E-Business invoicing, and works closely with internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will need a proven track record in project delivery and development of business rules and protocols.

Our Planning and Environment teams work closely with specialists and colleagues to design sustainable forests, protect and restore semi-natural habitats, respond to climate change, and enhance our landscapes. We also facilitate responsible renewable energy and infrastructure on Scotland’s forests and land in support of national climate goals.
About the role
As a Forest Liaison Officer (FLO), you will act as the main point of contact between a Forestry and Land Scotland Regional team and developers and contractors, managing day-to-day project issues. You will also work closely with the national renewables and regional estates teams.

About the team
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our Pay & Reward team, which delivers payroll and pension services for Forestry and Land Scotland and Scottish Forestry, supporting around 1,300 staff. This is a full-time hybrid role, with the expectation of attending either our Edinburgh or Inverness office ideally once a week.
About the role
In this role, the successful candidate will lead and develop the Payroll team, ensuring accurate input into our HR and payroll system (iTrent by MHR). They will be responsible for maintaining compliance with payroll legislation, safeguarding payroll integrity, and ensuring timely reconciliations and submissions.

We’re looking for a Worksite Supervisor to join our Central Region team in Glenbranter.
You’ll play a vital role in delivering tree felling operations that support climate change mitigation, biodiversity, and landscape enhancement. Your work will directly influence the restructuring of forests, contribute to temperate rainforest, native woodland and peatland restoration, and help shape a more sustainable future.
To be successful, you’ll have an understanding of contract management within the land management sector, such as forest management, timber harvesting, or environmental and recreational projects, be familiar with health and safety systems relevant to forestry and land-based operations and have a strong grasp of forest or land management planning, including the systems and processes used to deliver related work programmes. Experience using GIS platforms such as ArcView or Forester Web. would be advantageous, although, not essential.
Deputy Visitor Services Manager

We’re looking for a Deputy Visitor Services Manager to join our Visitor Services team in the South Region. You’ll be based out of one of the following offices: Gelntress, Ae or Newton Stewart Office.
The Visitor Services (VS) Team are responsible for providing a high-quality visitor experience through managing the recreational facilities and engagement with visitors, on-site business and event organisers and participants. This includes planning and managing recreation opportunities, engaging with visitors, facilitating events, facilitating education and learning, working with partners & tenants, dealing with enquiries and engaging with communities.
As Deputy Visitor Services Manager you will play a vital role managing the South Region’s Area Visitor Services Managers and oversee management of VS operations across the South of Scotland.
To be successful, you'll need experience managing recreation or visitor facilities to a high standard within the countryside, recreation, or tourism sector, alongside strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental management. You should have a background in leading teams, working with diverse stakeholders, and a working knowledge of Outdoor Access and the Land Reform (Scotland) Act. Desirable experience includes managing competing priorities, procurement and contract management, commercial activity, and partnership working with communities. You’ll also need knowledge of countryside and land management, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, strong IT skills, a full UK driving licence (or alternative), and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience with dispersed teams and GIS software is an advantage.
