This land management plan sets out the proposals to be undertaken by Forestry and Land Scotland within the forest blocks that make up the Muirkirk Land Management Plan (LMP) area. The LMP area is located in East Ayrshire and covers ~169 Ha.

The key consideration of this plan centres around the continued monitoring and appropriate management of the blocks’ woodland creation areas from the previous LMP. This LMP is guided by the desire to maintain the area as a valuable recreational asset and increase biodiversity and habitat value, whilst also producing high quality hardwood and softwood timber.
