We are working hard to make our forests safe again after recent storms. Many remain closed; please plan ahead and follow all local signage.

Trees are at the heart of our communities, steeped in history, spread over iconic countryside and making up the forests that energise our bodies and calm our souls. And their timber is just as important. It’s the table off of which we eat our dinner, the pages of our favourite novel, the roof above our head, or an intricately carved violin.

On these pages, you can learn about the long journey from seedling to timber product.
