The Midmar Land Management Plan (LMP) area is located in the Echt and Midmar Parishes approximately 4km west of the village of Echt in Aberdeenshire. 

The main priority for this forest is the production of a sustainable crop of timber while at the same time maximising its biodiversity value. Maintaining the positive landscape of the forest in the local area is also an important objective for this plan period. 

Timeline

The expiry date for this plan was 20 January 2025. A new forest plan is currently under production and will be out for public consultation in the near future.
