Ardura Community Forest, Isle of Mull
Ardura Community Forest, Isle of Mull
Mull and Iona Community Trust submitted an asset transfer request to purchase 201 hectares of land at Ardura, Isle of Mull. The purpose of the request was to generate long term income for the Trust, improve amenity and benefit to the community. The Trust intend to lease the site to the Torosay Estate to restock with native broadleaf and Caledonian pines. The community will retain full access to the forest for all activities it wishes to make provision for, including restoring the “old road” and developing a Forest School.
