Car-park closures
Residents in Nairn, Forres, Elgin and surrounding communities are being advised by Forestry and Land Scotland that its car parks at Roseisle Forest and at Wellhill in Culbin Forest are to be closed for resurfacing.
The work is expected to take three or four days at each location but will be carried out in separate weeks to facilitate access.
Roseisle will be closed Mon 21st to Wed 23rd June and Culbin Wellhill (just north of Kintessack) will be closed from Tue 29th June to Friday 2nd July.
Parking at Cloddymoss in Culbin Forest will continue to be available.
Fiona Robertson, FLS Area Visitors Services Manager, said;
“We appreciate that after the year we’ve had a lot of people will be looking to catch up with their days out to the forest and the coast.
“We’ve staggered the weeks when work will be carried out to keep as many options open for visitors as possible and reduce any inconvenience as much as we can.
“It will only be for a few days at each site so we hope that everyone will be able to plan around it and still manage to visit and enjoy their local forest responsibly.”
