The contracts we procure support all areas of our business, including:
- land management
- recreational services
- business support services and goods
Much of the work undertaken on Scotland's national forests and land is carried out by small to medium enterprises or micro-businesses.

Upcoming and current procurement opportunities
Our management of contract opportunities
We use standard sets of terms and conditions. For works contracts we primarily use industry standard contracts such as New Engineering Contract version 4 (NEC4). All our conditions can be tailored when needed. For more complex contracts we may use alternative or bespoke contracts.
Goods, works and services
High value
Tenders worth over £50,000 for goods and services, or over £2,000,000 for works, will be processed through the PCS-Tender system.
Low value
We use the PCS Quick Quote facility to invite quotes for low value goods, works and services. To be invited to quote we recommend that suppliers are registered on the Public Contracts Scotland website. This is a standard process used by public sector buyers. Find out more about this process on the Scottish Government’s Supplier Journey website.
