Aultmore is located 5 kilometres north of Keith. It was originally a peat moorland and was planted between 1961 and 1973, so it is just starting to come into production. It is surrounded by farmland and is fairly visible within the local Morayshire landscape. The forest covers 2,415 hectares of land.

• May – August 2024: Initial stakeholder scoping and public consultation (six weeks)
• September – November 2024: Preparation of draft plan
• December 2024 – January 2025: Final stakeholder scoping and public consultation on draft proposals (six weeks)
• February 2025: Preparation of final plan
• April 2025: Submission to Scottish Forestry for approval (the submitted LMP will be available on their public register)
