Plea to avoid Ben A’an - for a while
Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) has again appealed for visitors to find alternative destinations to Ben A’an as car park extension work begins next week (28/09/2021)
Work to add another 26 spaces to the honey-pot site in a bid to help ease congestion, has been made possible with support from the Rural Tourism Infrastructure Fund, and is expected to be completed by December, depending on the weather.
Sue Morris, FLS’ Area Visitor Services Manager, said;
“Adding 26 new car parking spaces will partly help address the issue of congestion that has become all too common at Ben A’an.
“Together with the path works we’re also doing, the improvements will help more visitors to have easier access to the site.
“However, if we are to get the work done as quickly as possible, it would help if people could stay away and instead visit one of the many other local sites.”
Alternatives include the Ben Venue hill path, Ben Guilipan Ben an t- Sidhean at Strathyre, as well as Limecraig and Craigmore.
Work is expected to be completed by December.
