We know a trip to buy an all-natural Christmas tree from one of our forests can be every bit as much a tradition as hanging up stockings and eating mince pies, so we’re delighted to be able to announce our festive plans for 2025.

Pick up a Christmas tree at the following forests. See below for prices, opening hours and other activities.

The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre

Opening Saturday 29 November

Join us for magical Christmas fun at The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre, just outside of Aberfoyle.

Opening hours

  • Saturday 29 November to Tuesday 23 December, 10am – 2.30pm.

Availability and pricing

For 2025 we will have a range of Nordmann and Fraser firs, grown in the UK and certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).

Festive events and facilities 

Christmas themed self led children's trail (free of charge). Open daily on the accessible white Waterfall Trail. 

Café open daily 10am to 3.00pm.

The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre is 1 mile north of Aberfoyle on the A821. Follow signs for ‘Forest Park Visitor Centre’.

Glenbranter

Opening Friday 28 November

Celebrating Christmas in Cowal? 

Glenbranter is just up the road from Dunoon and we’re selling UK grown trees certified by the FSC.

  • Friday 28 November to Sunday 2 December, 10am – 4.00pm
  • Friday 5 to Sunday 7 December, 10am – 4.00pm

Festive trail and facilities

Why not bring the family and wander along our Christmas themed trail. It’s totally free and open when the sales centre. This gentle stroll takes in many different native tree species like oak and hazel and is a great place to spot red squirrels.

Unfortunately, we won’t have any food or refreshments available this year, but toilet facilities will be open to all visitors.

Tyrebagger

Opening Saturday 22 November

Kinnoull Hill

Opening Saturday 29 November

A private contractor is running the Christmas tree sales centre at Kinnoull Hill. The centre will be open on the following days:

  • Saturday 29 November and Sunday 30 November, 9.30am – 4pm 
  • Thursday 4 December to Sunday 7 December, 9.30am – 4pm 
  • Thursday 11 December to Sunday 14 December, 9.30am – 4pm
