There is a very high risk of wildfire in the south and west of Scotland from 24 to 25 April. Please plan ahead and check online before visiting.

Escape from it all in the Kilpatrick Hills and enjoy a taste of the Highlands on Glasgow’s doorstep.

Expect spectacular views over Glasgow and the River Clyde. Keep climbing and you’ll be rewarded – on a clear day – with a panorama over Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.

It’s easy to get here by rail, road, bike or bus and yet, once you’re on the trails, you can imagine you’re deep in the Highlands. The wildlife so close to the city might surprise you too – watch out for red deer, otters and osprey.
