About the area

Black Law (Kingshill Plantation) Windfarm sits within South Lanarkshire and is local to Forth Community Council. It is part of the Black Law Wind Farm and Black Law Extension which extends across South Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire and West Lothian.

Technical information 

Black Law (Kingshill Plantation) is operated by ScottishPower Renewables. The wind farm has eight turbines with a current output of 20.7 MW (11% of total wind farm).

Black Law Wind Farm and Black Law Extension has 88 turbines with a combined total output of 187 MW. 

 The community benefit fund for this project is South Lanarkshire Council Renewable Energy Fund. The Renewable Energy Fund (REF) supports community projects within 10km of participating renewable energy developments in South Lanarkshire.
