Landscaped woodland and parkland near Falkirk

Explore historic paths and estate carriageways to find panoramic viewpoints, old oaks, yew groves and tree-lined avenues. Keep an eye out for a mausoleum built as a tribute to the Forbes family, Victorian kennels, mining remains and a hill fort.

Callendar Woods are part of Callendar House and its surrounding parkland. It’s a great place for the whole family. The park has an amazing Roman themed play area opened in 2019, and an adventurous Natural Play trail up into the woods.

In the summer you can play on pedalos, crazy golf and bouncy castles. Callendar House contains a tea room, art gallery, museum exhibitions and the local history archives. Everyone is welcome and entry is free of charge.
