For a more energetic outing, follow the path behind Clachan of Campsie. It forks steeply uphill from the burn to reach a car park on the B822, there are lovely views into the glen. From here you can choose a path around the hill to see waterfalls along the burn below. You can also carry on climbing along a steep, rough trail to reach the ridge of the Campsie Fells above.

Strathkelvin Railway Path

The Strathkelvin Railway Path is an easy, flat route that’s perfect for walking or cycling. It stretches 7½ mile between Strathblane and Kirkintilloch along a picturesque stretch of old railway line. Join the trail near the turning to Clachan of Campsie off the A891.
