The following notices are in effect at this location.

1. Forestry operations on site

   Expect timber haulage operations. If you come across timber loading, please wait for the operator to clearly signal for you to pass.

2. Lower car park closure

   The lower car park is closed due to the road condition. The upper car park is open. 

3. Burnside Trail update

   The white Burnside Trail is open, but not suitable as easy plus access at present, due to uneven trail surface in parts. 

4. Aithouse Burn Trail diversion

   Aithouse Burn Trail is diverted between point 3 and point 4. This is due to a section of fallen trees around point 4. Please walk trail clockwise and follow diversion back to car park.

   Expect some timber haulage along the forest roads.

5. Spruce Trail closure

   The Spruce Trail is closed after recent tree felling/planting operations.
   We hope to reopen the trail soon.

Ticks

Ticks can carry Lyme disease, which can lead to long-term illness. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them quickly.

Open water

There is open water at this site. Watch children closely, wear a life jacket if you go in the water, and do not drink alcohol near or in water.

Forestry works

You may find tree felling, road building and timber lorries here. Keep safe and don't enter closed areas. Always follow signs and instructions.
