The following notices are in effect at this location.

  1. Tree felling

    Tree felling work is being carried out in the wider forest at Sutherland's Grove. Please avoid the work site and follow all safety information. 

  2. Path upgrade works

    Path upgrade works are due to start on the 30 June 2026 at Sutherland’s Grove. During these works the upper car park will be closed and there will be intermittent closures on both The Gorge Trail and the Giant Fir Trail. Please follow all safety information on site. 

  3. Troll Trail diversion

    The Troll Trail is diverted to avoid timber traffic using the forest roads.

Open water

There is open water at this site. Watch children closely, wear a life jacket if you go in the water, and do not drink alcohol near or in water.

Ticks

Ticks can carry Lyme disease, which can lead to long-term illness. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them quickly.
