The first car park you come to in Glen Affric is the perfect place to start. From here you can explore the rapids and the still, dark pools of Dog Falls. Why not stop for picnic beneath the pine trees by Coire Loch or climb to a fine view up the glen.
The forest has stunning trees. Watch out for a mixture of gnarled old Scots pine (often called ‘granny pines’), shining silver birch, and oaks covered in slow, grey lichen.
