Following the wildfire, Glenmore Forest Park is now open. However, some areas, trails and car parks remain closed while we work to make them safe. 

During your visit pay attention to local signage and to our staff. Check local updates on our forest web pages before visiting.

The following notices are in effect at this location.

  1. Notice to visitors

    The day-use and short-stay facility reopened to the public on 3 July 2026. 

    Unfortunately, continued anti social behaviour and unauthorised overnight stays at this location could result in the permanent closure of the car park and picnic site. 

    There are many campsites available throughout the Lochaber area. Visitors requiring overnight accommodation are encouraged to use local campsites and refrain from staying overnight at Forestry and Land Scotland day-use and short-stay locations such as Loch Linnhe. 

    Approved Stay the Night locations can be found on the Stay the Night web page.

Open water

There is open water at this site. Watch children closely, wear a life jacket if you go in the water, and do not drink alcohol near or in water.

Ticks

Ticks can carry Lyme disease, which can lead to long-term illness. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them quickly.
